Around 20 minutes by road from Zurich and Zug lies Hausen am Albis — an unspoilt landscape of forests, Lake Türlersee and the Seleger Moor park. At its heart, the historic Gasthof Löwen: host since 1833, with coach parking right by the house and a team that knows groups of 20 to 160 guests.

By the way: for groups and private events we are happy to open outside our regular hours on request — especially at lunchtime and on our closing days, Monday and Tuesday.

Why Hausen am Albis

Out of the coach. Into the green.

Hausen am Albis sits centrally between Zurich, Zug and Lucerne — and still feels far away from the bustle. Instead of an anonymous stopover, your guests find a green piece of Switzerland with short distances: Lake Türlersee, the Seleger Moor flower park, the Albis countryside and our historic inn. A necessary break becomes part of the itinerary.

Fits your route

Around 20 minutes by road from Zurich and Zug, towards Lucerne. The stop slots into existing day trips and round trips without a detour.

Nature without extra mileage

Lake Türlersee, the Seleger Moor and the Albis countryside are just a few minutes' drive apart — including for groups who prefer to avoid demanding walks.

The Löwen has welcomed guests since 1833. Löwen hall, historic wine cellar and beer garden instead of group-canteen atmosphere.

Short distances, coordinated timings, one point of contact: besides the Löwen, we also run the restaurant in the Seleger Moor flower park and the lakeside restaurant at Camping Türlersee. Morning coffee, park visit, lunch and afternoon snack are therefore coordinated through a single contact person.

In the morning, the Seleger Moor flower park with rhododendrons, azaleas, ferns and old trees. Afterwards, lunch together at the Löwen. On request we arrange coffee, admission and menu as one coordinated group offer.

Lake Türlersee & Löwen

Start at idyllic Lake Türlersee — a stroll, coffee right by the water or simply time to take in the landscape. Then your group drives on for a few minutes to lunch at the Löwen. Little driving, plenty of nature.

Morning coffee with croissants, a visit to the Seleger Moor, lunch together at the historic Löwen and, in the afternoon, a stop at Lake Türlersee with coffee or a snack. We coordinate the stations and timings for you.

Zurich – Albis – Lucerne

If your journey runs from Zurich towards Lucerne or the other way round, Hausen am Albis makes an easy stopover: lunch at the historic Löwen, a short break in the countryside, then a relaxed onward journey.

That way your group sees a piece of rural Switzerland alongside the famous cities — without an extra leg in the schedule.

The Löwen show lunch with Florian Rexer

For groups who want to turn the lunch stop into a programme highlight, we offer selected dates with a show lunch. During the three-course menu, actor and comedian Florian Rexer entertains between the courses. No audience participation required — your guests eat, watch and laugh.

Your group won't be seated in an anonymous dining hall. Which room fits is a question of group size — tell us the number of guests and we'll suggest the right one.
